Sydney Facts:
(1) Scarcity of rubbish bins.
(2) Sydney (10th) is not as livable as Auckland (5th). [Mercer's Survey]

I'm a friend of Juinshii's...I spent the summer in Sydney...it is an odd place...either at your feet or at your throat! Kings Cross is really dodge…not so much the party capital but more like the drugs & red-light capital of Australia but as you are close you will have to go to visit Gazebo wine bar…its just through the small park next to the El Alamein Fountain…it’s fab but unpretentious, a great hangout and has one of the best + biggest wine selections in Sydney.
I remember Juinshii saying that you like cocktails…the best & most original cocktail menus I found was at Zeta Bar in the Sydney Hilton…rather expensive but rather divine. The whole design of the bar from lighting, colour scheme, furniture to the bathrooms are well worth the stinging prices. Its the type of place you expect to turn around and bump into the girls from Sex and the City. From memory I tried a coriander & pine nut cocktail that set me back $20 bucks (was very careful not to spill a drop!). The female friend I was with was calculating enough to flirt with a ‘suit’ in the bathroom…and the rest of the night was on some tab for Macquarie bank!! For a bit more of a youthful crowd head down the elevator to the Marble Bar…from memory we danced the night away down there! There are soo many great places in Sydney…let me know if you want more tips!
